Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 1, 2026

Last Updated: July 5, 2026

Welcome to Note Atelier ([https://noteatelier.co.uk/](https://noteatelier.co.uk/)). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of both our customers (“Senders”) and the individuals receiving our notes (“Recipients”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our service, or purchase a membership.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our premium physical note-sending service, we must collect specific data:

• Account & Contact Information (Senders): Your name, email address, physical address, and billing information when you create an account, purchase a one-time note, or subscribe to a membership.
• Message & Fulfillment Content: The raw text message you submit to be transformed into a handwritten note. Please note: Because we process your words into physical script via our pen-plotting technology, our automated systems and fulfillment staff briefly process the exact text you write.
• Recipient Information: The name and delivery address of the person you choose to send the note to. We only use this data to deliver the physical note.
• Technical & Usage Data: IP addresses, browser types, cookie data, and analytics regarding how you interact with our website to help us improve user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process personal data under the lawful bases of Contractual Necessity (to fulfill your orders) and Legitimate Interests (to maintain and secure our service). Specifically, we use it to:

• Process your orders, subscriptions, and payments securely.
• Transcribe and deliver your custom physical notes to your designated recipients.
• Manage your rolling membership credits.
• Communicate with you regarding order confirmations, updates, or customer support queries.
• Prevent fraud and maintain website security.

3. Data Confidentiality & Protection of Your Messages

The content of your notes is strictly confidential.

• We do not read your messages for marketing purposes or sell the contents to third parties.
• Message content is only accessed by our systems and fulfillment personnel to ensure accurate physical transcription and quality control.
• Message text is securely archived in your account history so that you can view your sent notes, but it can be permanently deleted upon request.

4. Sharing Your Data with Third Parties

We never sell your data. We only share information with essential service providers who help us run Note Atelier:

• Payment Processors: To securely handle transaction data (e.g., Stripe or PayPal). We do not store raw credit card details on our servers.
• Delivery & Postal Services: Royal Mail or similar courier partners receive the recipient’s name and address solely to deliver the physical item.
• Website Analytics: Tools like Google Analytics to evaluate website traffic performance.

5. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to enhance functionality, manage your login sessions, and remember your cookie preferences. You can adjust your preferences at any time using our cookie consent banner.

6. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

As a resident of the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: The right to request copies of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: The right to ask us to correct information you think is inaccurate.
• Erasure: The right to request that we erase your personal data (the “right to be forgotten”).
• Portability: The right to request that we transfer your data to another organization.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address listed below.
